The murder trial of a Jamestown man accused of fatally shooting his half-brother resumes this morning.
Day 2 of the jury trial in the case of the Commonwealth of Kentucky vs Lee Maynard will get underway at 8:30 this morning at the Russell County Judicial Center.
The trial got underway Monday with jury selection and opening statements from the prosecution and defense. Today is expected to include multiple witness testimonies.
Lee Maynard is accused of fatally shooting his half-brother, Charles Maynard, at his residence on Fox Lane near Jamestown on April 5, 2023. Lee’s attorneys argue he acted in self-defense after Lee and Charles were engaged in an altercation at the home.
