The Jamestown Fire Department was called out to a vehicle fire yesterday morning.
Fire Chief Jeff Landers said units were called out yesterday morning to a farm on Highway 832. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a “feedlot” truck fully involved, about 50 feet from a barn.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the truck and stop it from spreading to the barn. Officials say the truck was a total loss, but there was no damage to the barn or its contents.
9 firefighters were on scene for about an hour and no injuries were reported.
Officials say the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
