A major employer in Somerset-Pulaski County is growing again.
Hendrickson Trailer has announced a 13-million-dollar expansion of its manufacturing facility at the Valley Oak Commerce Complex. The multi-phase project will add 15-thousand square feet and create up to 30 new jobs over the next three years.
Plant Manager Devin Reynolds says the expansion was made possible through support from the City of Somerset, Pulaski County and the Somerset Pulaski Economic Development Authority, and will help the company remain competitive in the global marketplace.
The first phase is expected to be completed in October.
Hendrickson has operated in Somerset since 2007 and now employs more than 400 people, manufacturing trailer axles and suspension systems for the heavy-duty transportation industry.
