Casey County Fair cancelled amid ongoing water issues

The entire 2026 Casey County Fair has been canceled due to ongoing water shortages.

The Casey County Fair Board on Friday announced the fair, scheduled for July 17th through the 25th, will not take place this year because of the significant water demands needed to safely operate fair activities.The cancellation includes all events, exhibits and competitions, entertainment, pageants, vendor activities, and all other fair attractions.

Fair Board members say they will continue monitoring conditions and may consider rescheduling select events later in the year, including pageants, the demolition derby, or truck pull, if water supplies improve.
