Yesterday on local news, we reported on the voter turnout for Russell and surrounding counties in this week’s primary election.
Today, we take a look at how voter turnout varied across Russell County’s different voting precincts.
The highest voter turnout came from the Webbs precinct, where turnout was around 52.1 percent. The lowest voter turnout in the county was from the Jabez precinct, where turnout was just under 24 percent.
The Fonthill, Esto and Irvins precincts also saw high turnout numbers, with Fonthill’s turnout coming in at around 49.6 percent, Esto coming in at about 46.7 percent and Irvins at 46.1 percent.
Aside from Jabez, the next lowest turnouts came from City Hall at about 31.2 percent and Bryan at about 33.6 percent.
