Last week, the City of Russell Springs officially opened the Bankers Field of Dreams at the Russell Springs City Park.
The newly-renovated sports field is aimed at providing greater accessibility for special needs children in the community.
Russell Springs Parks and Streets Supervisor Daniel Buster told WJRS News it was rewarding to see the new field opened up to children in the community.
The field was made possible through donations from six local banks: Bank of Jamestown, Monticello Bank, Community Trust Bank, First & Farmers Bank, First National Bank of Russell Springs, and Citizens National Bank.
