Two people were arrested following a traffic stop in Columbia where police say fentanyl and other drugs were found in the car.
38-year-old Brittney D. Nugent and 41-year-old Brandon A. Maust were arrested by Columbia Police a little before 3 a.m. yesterday and charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges.
Columbia Police say they received a report of a pickup truck driving recklessly on Jamestown Street yesterday. During the traffic stop, officers deployed a K9 unit and discovered suspected crystal methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, pills, and drug paraphernalia.
Officer Nathan Ginn was the arresting officer. Nugent and Maust were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
