Multiple county-owned vehicles were damaged Saturday evening after a roof from a county storage building near the recycle facility was blown off and landed on top of the vehicles.
Russell County Judge-Executive Randy Marcum told WJRS News at least four county-owned vehicles were damaged in the incident.
The damage to the vehicles is expected to cause disruption to county operations, but Marcum told WJRS officials are working to return to normal operations as soon as possible. This will include the litter patrol, as well as pickup of the recycle bins.
