Coleman announces run for KY Governor

Kentucky’s Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman will seek the office of Governor next year.

Coleman has served as Lieutenant Governor under Andy Beshear since 2019. Before that, Coleman was an educator, teaching at Burgin and East Jessamine High Schools and later was assistant principal at Nelson County High School.

Coleman is the first candidate to officially announce their bid to run for Governor, which will be on the ballot in 2027. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear is term-limited and is ineligible to run again.
