A suspect has been identified in the investigation into burglaries in Pulaski and Wayne County last week.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect has been identified as 46-year-old James David-Scott Gurley.
Law enforcement was able to identify Gurley through surveillance footage at the Cumberland Green Valero Station Gurley allegedly broke into, as well as video footage of the break-in at the Somerset Mall as well as footage from Monticello Walmart of a previous shoplifting case.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said they located the vehicle allegedly used in the burglary at the home of one of Gurley’s relatives. He was not there at the time, but they say more evidence was obtained in the case there.
The sheriff’s office said arrest warrants have been obtained for Gurley on multiple charges including burglary, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief, and other charges.
Anyone with information on is whereabouts is asked to call 911.
