The Russell County Fiscal Court held its monthly meeting this morning at Russell County High School with the student body in attendance.
The fiscal court recognized members of the high school’s NexGen Civics Club, a partnership between the school district and the county providing students with paid work-based experiences that help them learn more about the inner workings of local government.
Russell County is just the second county in the state to host a fiscal court meeting at the high school with students in the audience. Judge-Executive Randy Marcum spoke to WJRS News more about the meeting.
