A person was flown out following a single-vehicle collision on East Highway 80 yesterday evening.
The accident occurred at around 7:00 yesterday evening on East 80 near the intersection of West Road.
WJRS News is told the driver of the vehicle was traveling east on Highway 80 and left the roadway, striking a mailbox and then striking a tree.
The driver of the vehicle was extricated by the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department and was flown out for treatment of injuries.
The accident is under investigation by Kentucky State Police. We’ll provide more details as they are available.
