Doyle R. Popplewell, 79, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, March 25th, at the Russell County Hospital.
Doyle was born in Russell Springs, KY on April 14, 1946, a son of the late Dorothy (Smith) and Otto Vernon Popplewell.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, was a retired U.S. mail carrier and enjoyed classic country and gospel music.
Doyle is survived by.
wife, Sue (McFall) Popplewell, of Jamestown, KY.
a son, Craig Popplewell, of Bowling Green, KY.
brother-in-law, Donnie Conover, of Louisville, KY
He is also survived by one grandchild Harper Popplewell as well as other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Doris Conover.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 28th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY with Bro. Randy Brown officiating.
Public Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 28th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY.
Burial in the Rexroat Cemetery with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.
Family request memorial donations to the Rexroat Cemetery or Hospice of Lake Cumberland and can be made at the funeral home.
