Bill would expand Amber Alert system in Kentucky

A bill making its way through the state legislature would expand the Amber Alert system in Kentucky.

Charles Baglan files this report on Senate Bill 289, known as Wynter’s Law. It is named after a Rockcastle County teen who went missing last year after meeting a man online. She was later found in Florida and returned back to Kentucky.

Senate Bill 289 passed through the Senate by a 35-0 vote. It now moves to the Kentucky House of Representatives.
