Last week on local news, we reported that Air Methods, an air medical transport company, will soon be operating in Russell County at the Russell County Airport.
Representatives from Air Methods were at this week’s Russell County Fiscal Court meeting to officially announce their plans.
WJRS News caught up with Brian Carpenter, senior business manager for Air Methods, to talk about why the company chose to locate in Russell County and when operations could begin.
Air Methods is headquartered in Colorado and has been in operation for more than 45 years. They currently have six helicopter bases serving Kentucky and southern Indiana, including in Somerset and Glasgow.
