Russell County Football players Kinnett Wills and Tanner Stringer were recognized at halftime of Monday night’s basketball game at Laker Gym.
Wills was recognized for breaking the school record for receiving yards in a season with 812 yards, as well as the career receiving yards mark with 2,306 receiving yards in his high school career.
Stringer was recognized for surpassing 1,000 yards rushing this past season, finishing his junior campaign with 1,333 rushing yards and 2,608 total yards.
Both were recognized with the presentation of a special football at mid-court during the ceremony Monday evening.
