A Casey County native is the newest Kentucky State Police trooper at Post 15 in Columbia.
Joshua Murphy of Liberty was a recent graduate of Cadet Class 106 and was assigned to Post 15.
Murphy also earned an associate’s degree while completing his state police training.
Murphy was one of 32 cadets to finish the 24-week training course to become a trooper.
The next cadet class will arrive at the academy in May.
