Russell Springs woman arrested this morning following traffic stop

A Russell Springs woman was arrested early this morning following a traffic stop on Highway 127.

Russell Springs Police say 42-year-old Brooke Montgomery was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and operating on a suspended or revoked license.

Police say Officer Chris Tweedy was patrolling on 127 just before 1:00 this morning when he performed a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Montgomery. Consent was given to search the vehicle and police say methamphetamine was found inside.

Montgomery was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
