Russell County split a doubleheader at Southwestern Friday night.
The Lady Lakers fell to the Lady Warriors by a score of 49-37.
Aniyah Coffey led Russell County with 19 points in the game, and Addy Abrell added 13.
The Lakers defeated the Warriors in the nightcap by a score of 81-63.
The duo of Dylan Stanelle and Maddox Shearer nearly outscored the Warriors on their own, combining for 58 points with Stanelle scoring 30 and Shearer scoring 28. Bryson Irvin added 13 points for the Lakers.
The Lakers and Lady Lakers return to action this coming Friday. The Lakers will host East Jessamine and the Lady Lakers go on the road to take on John Hardin.
