Several Columbia residents became concerned over the weekend after water in the town creek turned neon green, with many concerned that antifreeze had leaked into the water.
Authorities in Columbia say that is not the case, and the neon green water in the creek is due to a leak from a car wash near the corner of Campbellsville and Fairgrounds Streets.
Authorities with the local utility district in Adair County say there is no threat to the public, as the creek is not a water supply for the utility district.
