The Russell County Fiscal Court is expected to take up the issue of the sheriff’s budget at a special-called meeting on Friday.
The fiscal court will meet in special session at 10:00 Friday morning with the sheriff’s budget the big topic on the agenda.
The court opted to table a vote on the sheriff’s budget at its meeting earlier this month after discussion between Sheriff Derek Polston and the magistrates.
Friday’s meeting is open to the public.
