The Russell County Community Blood Drive takes place today from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the South Kentucky RECC Community Room.
The Kentucky Blood Center recently announced that it is in critical need of O-, O+, and A- blood donations.
Winter weather conditions recently forced the cancellation of several blood drives around the state and low turnout at other drives, leading to a critical shortages.
Appointments for the blood drive are preferred but walk-ins are welcome.
