The 2026-2027 school calendar for Russell County Schools is expected to be voted on by the board of education next week.
The board had its first reading of the calendar at a special-called meeting this week.
Superintendent Michael Ford was a guest on Community Conversation on WJRS this week and said the calendar for next school year is very similar to the calendar for the current school year.
The school board will meet in regular session on Monday at 5 p.m. at the Russell County ANC.
