The Russell Springs City Council gave final approval last night to an ordinance that will allow side-by-sides and other special-purpose vehicles to be operated on city streets.
Russell Springs Mayor Eddie Thomas told WJRS News the city’s ordinance mirrors the ordinance approved by the fiscal court.
This ordinance was also passed by the Jamestown City Council, so the rules remain consistent between both cities and the county.
The vehicles must be licensed at the county clerk’s office, inspected by the sheriff’s office, and be insured.
