Russell County FFA wins awards at region fall contest day

The Russell County FFA chapter brought home a pair of awards at the Lake Cumberland Region Fall Contest Day last week.

The team of Walker Stephens, Alden Brumley, Blane Smith, Conner Hale, Gabe Greene, and Daniel Hernandez finished 4th place overall in the archery contest. Stephens was the team high individual in the contest.

The team of Abby Fox, Kendall Melton, Destiny Popplewell, Alyssa Wethington, Baylee Flatt and Piper Garmon finished 2nd overall in the vet science competition. Fox was the team high individual and also tied for overall reserve high individual.

The vet scene team qualified to compete in state competition at Murray State later this year.
