The Russell County Fiscal Court will meet in special session this morning for the first reading of an ordinance regarding industrial solar projects.
At last week’s meeting, the fiscal court voted to have County Attorney Kevin Shearer draft an ordinance that would put certain restrictions in place for these solar farms or solar parks.
The fiscal court will hold the first reading of that ordinance at 10 o’clock this morning at the Russell County Courthouse.
The meeting is open to the public. We’ll have more on local news following the meeting.
