Crossroads Quartet inducted into Kentucky State Gospel Singing Convention Hall of Fame

The Crossroads Quartet was inducted into the Kentucky State Gospel Singing Convention this past weekend.

The Kentucky State Gospel Singing Convention is one of the oldest southern gospel conventions, dating back nearly 80 years.

The Crossroads Quartet was started in 1960 and has traveled across the state and several other states singing gospel music since then.

Vernie McGaha, who has been with the group since he was 12-years-old and is the son of founding member Schuyler McGaha, said the group has been blessed over the years, especially with traveling so often.

The Crossroads Quartet will hold their final concert at the Russell County ANC one week from Saturday on November 1. Admission to the concert is free, but an offering will be taken with the funds benefitting Kevin’s Kids.
