The Laker Soccer team won its season opener with a 4-0 win over district foe Clinton County last night.
The Lakers led 1-0 at halftime, as Kelvin Cordova scored a goal from Sebastian Betts-Jimenez for the first goal of the game.
The Lakers added three more in the second half.
Andre Perez scored a goal off an assist from Connor Davidson. Yair Reyes scored a goal off an assist from Luis Lopez in the 56th minute, and Brian Melendez scored off an assist from Betts-Jimenez in the 65th minute.
Xavion Russell recorded the shutout at goalkeeper for the Lakers, who return to action on Thursday at home against Southwestern.
