Kentucky State Police Post 15 has provided an update on a shooting last week in Monroe County.
Initial reports were Scotty Eudy, 50, of Cave City, had arrived at a residence on Sugar Creek Road in Monroe County at around 9:30 p.m. last Monday and attempted to gain entry into the residence.
Upon entry, an occupant of the residence, armed with a firearm, confronted Eudy. During their interaction, the occupant of the residence discharged his firearm, striking Eudy, who later passed away.
State police are now reporting Eudy attempted to gain entry into the residence but did not make entry during the incident.
Detective Mike Dubree is continuing the investigation for Kentucky State Police.
