Gordon Sonny Miller, 86, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, August 18th, at Jean Waddle Care Center, Somerset, KY.
Sonny was born in Jamestown, KY on November 12, 1938, a son of the late Fannie (Burchett) and Richard Oscar Miller.
He was a member, elder, and was the superintendent for many years of Creelsboro Christian Church.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Crises and was a retired senior electrician at the Lake Cumberland State Park.
Sonny is survived by, wife, Doris (VanArsdale) Miller, of Jamestown, KY
two sisters, Doris Burgess, and Mae Young (James), both of Jamestown, KY
a brother, K.R. Miller, of Jamestown, KY.
He is also survived by a several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Leslie Dawn Miller, and sister Louise Garner.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 21st at Creelsboro Christian Church in Jamestown, KY with Bro. Larry Johnson officiating.
Public Visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20th and after 8:00 AM on Thursday August 21st at Creelsboro Christian Church in Jamestown, KY.
Family request memorial donations to the Creelsboro Christian Church and can be made at the church.
