A Wayne County woman died over the weekend while crossing Highway 27 in Somerset.
According to reports, 39-year-old Linda Greene of Wayne County was crossing Highway 27 on foot Saturday night at around 9:30 local time near the intersection with Summitt Drive when she was struck by a car.
Greene was treated on scene by EMS, but later succumbed to her injuries.
No charges have been filed in the incident and local authorities say impaired driving is not believed to have been a factor.
The investigation is ongoing by Burnside Police.
