Two people arrested following traffic stop

Two people were arrested following a traffic stop on East Highway 80 last night.

The Russell County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Shane M. Grant of Jamestown and 50-year-old Brenda Martin of Russell Springs.

Grant was charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance and fleeing or evading police – second degree. Martin was charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance.

Deputy Devin Blakey was the arresting officer. Both were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
