WJRS News recently sat down with Russell County Hospital CEO Scott Thompson to discuss the passage of the Big Beautiful Bill in Congress and its impact on Medicaid funding.
Thompson gave a breakdown to WJRS News on the percentage of charges that are billed to Medicaid.
Yesterday on local news, Thompson said the projected Medicaid cuts would not be enough to close the doors to the hospital. Thompson added that he does not see the forecasted cuts leading to cuts to services or layoffs.
