Two people were arrested by Russell Springs Police yesterday on shoplifting and drug charges.
Officer Blake Adamson was dispatched to Key Village yesterday for a shoplifting complaint. An investigation by Adamson and Officer Clete McAninch led to the arrest of 48-year-old Brandon Irvin and 41-year-old Yevonda Popplewell, both of Russell Springs.
Irvin was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and shoplifting. Popplewell was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
