KSP conducting death investigation in Pulaski County

Kentucky State Police is conducting a death investigation in neighboring Pulaski County.

State Police say the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshall’s Service were attempting to serve an arrest warrant at a residence on Highway 1676 on Friday. When they arrived to serve the warrant on 47-year-old Brian L. Turner of Somerset, Turner reportedly ingested a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine.

Deputies requested EMS respond to the scene, and Turner was transported from the residence to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office.

It is suspected that drugs may be a contributing factor in this investigation, according to state police. Turner’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office yesterday in Frankfort, where an autopsy was conducted, and toxicology is pending.
