The Russell County Fiscal Court will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday.
The court is expected to open bids for the crumb rubber grant, which is produced from scrap tires and can be used in road projects. The county announced last month that it received a grant for around $133,000 from the Kentucky Department of Waste Management to use the rubber-modified asphalt on Crocus Road.
It is also expected that the fiscal court will discuss an ordinance that would make certain side-by-side vehicles street legal, as long as they pass inspection from the sheriff’s office and are licensed and insured.
The fiscal court will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at the Russell County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.
