The county is set to begin work soon on a road project on Crocus Road with the assistance of a grant.
The county opened bids for a project on Crocus Road at the fiscal court meeting this week. The project includes paving the road with a modified asphalt that is made up of recycled tires, called crumb rubber.
The lone bid for the project came from Gaddie Shamrock, and the county will use a $133,000 grant from the Kentucky Department of Waste Management to help fund the project.
County Judge Executive Randy Marcum gave WJRS News some more details about the project.
