A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested in Russell County on Saturday morning after attempting to open vehicle doors at a residence, which was captured on security cameras. Deputies found the suspect near KY 619 and discovered a handgun in his pocket.
Further investigation revealed the juvenile was also involved in a recent vandalism case, admitting to spray-painting properties in the Bernard Ridge area and other locations. He faces charges including Criminal Trespassing, Possession of a Handgun by a Minor, Four Counts of Criminal Mischief, Fleeing or Evading Police, and Theft of a Firearm.
The juvenile is currently lodged in a Juvenile Detention Center.
