Two people taken to hospital following Friday wreck near parkway ramps

Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 127 near the parkway ramps Friday afternoon.

Russell Springs Police say the collision occurred at around 2:41 Friday afternoon. Police say the collision involved a 2020 Dodge charger operated by 21-year-old Angela De Jesus Suarez of Russell Springs and a 2023 Kia Sorento operated by 61-year-old Brenda McIntyre of Russell Springs.

Both Suarez and McIntyre were taken to Russell County Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The Russell Springs Fire Department and Russell County EMS assisted at the scene.
