The Russell County High School FFA chapter had a strong showing at the Kentucky FFA Convention in Lexington this week.
Kendall Melton placed second overall in the Greenhouse Public Speaking contest.
Myah Connor and Callie Reynolds were awarded the Kentucky State FFA degree.
The agriculture communications team, made up of Piper Garmon, Baylee Flatt, Courtney Haynes, and Kendall Melton finished in the top 12 statewide.
Abby Fox competed in goat proficiency and made it to the top 12.
Connor competed in Swine Public Speaking, Reynolds competed in Equine Public Speaking, Jaydah Brown competed in Nursery and Landscape Public Speaking and Fox competed in Dairy Public Speaking.
Each had strong showings and represented Russell County well.
