A Russell Springs man was flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital following a single-vehicle wreck on Bernard Ridge yesterday afternoon.
The wreck occurred at around 1 p.m. yesterday. The Russell County Sheriff’s Office said 70-year-old Glenn Alan Bell was operating a 2014 Chevy Volt on Bernard Ridge near Stephens Pipe and Steel when he lost control in a curve and left the roadway.
Bell was treated on scene by Russell County EMS, then airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office. They were assisted on scene by members of the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
