Jamestown council approves bid for water tower painting

The Jamestown City Council approved a bid for $187,000 for the water tower near the Stephens Pipe and Steel plant to be painted.

Jamestown Mayor Regena Hinton spoke to WJRS News about the water tower.

The bid went to a company named MW Cole.

Council member Tony Wright questioned if a business or organization would be willing to pay to have their name or logo painted on the tower.Hinton said it’s something the city could look at.

The council voted unanimously to accept the bid.
