Russell Springs Economic Development Director Jeramy Coffey provided a brief update on the Shogun bid process at last week’s city council meeting.
Coffey said the Shogun bids were submitted about two weeks ago. The engineers and architects are in the process of verifying the bids.
Coffey said he expects to meet with Shogun representatives in the next week or two to get the process moving.
Shogun is planning to open a restaurant near Five Star in Russell Springs. Another restaurant is expected to locate in the same building, but that has not yet been finalized.
Shogun currently has locations in Bowling Green, Glasgow, Elizabethtown and Owensboro.
