Russell County avoided major storms last night.
Russell County went under a severe thunderstorm warning from about 1:30 until 2:30 this morning. However, there haven’t been any reports of widespread damage.
Heavy damage was reported in the Lone Valley area of nearby Taylor County between Columbia and Campbellsville. Multiple campers were turned over by wind and a barn was heavily damaged. The roof of a restaurant and bar in the area was also reportedly blown off.
Multiple tornados were reported in the western part of the state yesterday evening. There was also a report of a tornado in Louisville.
