RCMS Baseball defeats Metcalfe; Lakers and Lady Lakers on the road tonight

The Russell County Middle School Laker Baseball team defeated Metcalfe County 7-1 last night.

Keaton Garner drove in a team-high 4 runs for Russell County on 2 hits, including a home run. Keenan Stille drove in 2 runs for the Lakers.

Layten Roy picked up the win on the mound, pitching 3 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run on 1 hit and striking out 6 batters.

The Lakers are back in action tonight, going on the road to Mercer County.

The middle school Lady Laker Softball team is on the road tonight as well, traveling to Wayne County.

Both middle school games are set to get underway at 5:30 CT.
