Superintendent Ford addresses citizen concerns about federal funds

At the most recent board of education meeting, a citizen raised concerns about what would happen if federal funds for public schools were cut.

Superintendent Michael Ford said he didn’t believe federal funds would be totally cut. Ford also encouraged citizens to reach out to their representatives about the importance of these federal funds for Russell County Schools.

More than a dozen teachers in the district are paid for through federal funds, not including instructional assistants, instructional coaches and others.
