Spring burning restrictions remain in place

Local fire officials are reminding residents that spring burning restrictions remain in place.

State law prohibits burning between the hours of  6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Burning is not allowed to take place within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland.

The spring burning restrictions remain in effect through April 30.

Fire officials say dry conditions remain in a lot of areas. Small winds can cause a fire to get out of control quickly.
