RCMS Baseball defeats Washington County, hosts Metcalfe tonight

The Russell County Middle School Baseball team defeated Washington County on Friday by a score of 8-5.

Aaron McGowan led Russell County with a pair of hits and Keaton Garner drove in a pair of runs for the Lakers.

McGowan got the start on the mound for Russell County, picking up a win by giving up just 1 run on 1 hit and striking out 4 over 3 innings.

Parker Brumley got the save, pitching 1 2/3 innings, giving up just 2 hits and striking out 3 batters.

The middle school Lakers host Metcalfe County at home tonight. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30.
