RCHS Softball has big day in win over Hart County

The Russell County High School Lady Laker Softball team picked up a shutout win over Hart County Friday night.

The Lady Lakers came away with a 10-0 win in five innings.

Mallie McQueary had a big day at the plate, coming up with 3 hits in 3 plate appearances including a triple.

Addy Abrell finished with 2 hits on the day. Jaylee Roy and Emma Wilson each drove in 3 runs. Rylen McGowan drove in two runs for the Lady Lakers.

Brylie Hardwick got the start in the pitcher’s circle, striking out 8 of 20 batters and only giving up 2 hits in the shutout.

The Lady Lakers are back at home tonight, hosting Wayne County. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30.
