RCHS DECA brings home more than 30 awards from region conference

The Russell County High School DECA chapter brought home more than 30 awards from the region conference held earlier this week.

Five Russell County students qualified for nationals.

Students qualifying for nationals were Hannah King, Bailey Gosser, Adrian Wethington, Anna Patel, and Khushi Patel.

Russell County also received 4 additional spots at nationals due to receiving gold level chapter status.

Chapter Advisor and RCHS Marketing Teacher Karlie Berry was recognized as advisor of the year for region 2.

Adrian Wethington was recognized as chapter member of the year for both region and state.

Russell County received 4^th place for the largest chapter in region 2.

Russell County was also recognized for having the largest amount donated in Region 2 to the MDA – DECA’s choice of charities.
